We always like to go there for dinner. I can't say anything about the rooms. The food is hearty and very tasty and there is also something for vegetarians on the menu. They are also very child-friendly there. Always my pleasure!

I personally wanted to rate the restaurant well, but unfortunately I have to deduct points: the location is very pretty and idyllic. The card is not particularly large, but there is also a weekly card. We ordered something from this card (for 9 €), on the invoice the court was then charged for almost 14 € (!) (For 2x the same a difference of almost 10 €). The reason was that the weekly menu is only for dishes to pick up. I did not find the markup, which was nowhere, and which no one pointed out to us. In addition, another side dish was served without saying it beforehand. There were also other inconsistencies: A 0.3 drink from the menu should only be 0.2 when ordered, although the price on the menu was different ...

Super inn, warm owners and very good food! I can only recommend it. 👍🏼

I am just disappointed. On its website, the inn advertises "Heart, soul, passion are the most important ingredients for us" but does not even come close to living up to this claim with a simple dish like cheese sparrows. Served within 2 minutes of ordering and only lukewarm. In response to my complaint, only 1 minute later on the same plate, although hot but certainly from the microwave! Another complaint and 10 minutes later served again on a different plate, I ate the portion. The hunger after a strenuous paddling tour on the Altmühl is what drives it in. If there was the possibility of a negative rating, then I would give a straight 5. I will never enter this inn again!

The Bavarian Land survival chances on a good track! Thus, for all alternatives and / or long-established, dissenters, greens, vegans of all ages, ..... a VERY GOOD RECOMMENDATION for vacation and / or break, stay, drink and eat! The village is booming, waiting for more promising ideas and people who want to implement them responsibly. A recommended restaurant in a beautiful Bavarian village on the wonderfully located Altmühl! We wish the innkeepers again a good, successful and enjoyable future with new -, and / or old-established people!

I only rate the restaurant here. The menu offers home-style home cooking and snacks. The service was nice and the wait was reasonable. The food is ok, but nothing more. My husband's fries and schnitzel clearly too dark, the Schnitzel should have been dabbed briefly, had a small lake of fat on top. The fries could have allowed a few more. The Altmühltaler treats, would have been happy about fresh mushrooms and homemade cream sauce, me too. The Maultaschen unfortunately tasted very suspiciously after pack. The crispy lettuce was three leaves of lettuce. That would have more potential, especially as lettuce and fresh mushrooms are growing in the crowd. As a stop on a bike ride okay, but targeted to eat dinner rather not.

Did not stay in the hotel, but the restaurant was wonderful. The horseradish and mustard schnitzel was amazing. The homemade dessert Arne Ritter was delicious. The young man serving was spot on, quick, polite and patient. Vielen Dank!

Mmmh, fresh and delicious homemade apple strudel 🤗 we felt very well and well served! (but only snacks and drinks to us). The main course of the guests around us, however, looked very good and I have no complaints 😉

Great food. Specially lamb today. Food was super fast and was delicious. The apple was perfect for the liver and mashed potatoes! I recommend it

Very good maultaschen

The furniture is a bit older, but the rooms are neat and clean. The breakfast is simple but plentiful, perfectly adequate for us. In the restaurant, there is good, hearty home cooking, just right after a strenuous hiking day.

Nice breakfast. Clean room and bathroom. Our room had a bed and sofa bed an we slept there as 4 adults. The sofa bed was not really suitable for adults. Drinks in the evening was nice and we could play board games inside. Staff could not speak English and came off a bit rude. But seeing them interact with other guests we concluded it must have been the language barrier. The location is 'in the middle of nowhere' but it was a lovely small village. Good for hikers, cyclists, and those who like fossils.

Nothing fancy but the place is clean, tidy and quiet. Much cheaper than other places in the same area and great if you are just looking for a quiet place to spend a good night's sleep.
